Jana and Bentley invited their close friends and family out to Whitefish, Montana, to celebrate their wedding day in late July! Whitefish is a place that means so much to these two. It’s where Bentley grew up and where, after 5 years of dating, he asked Jana to be his wife. They have spent numerous holidays and vacations in Whitefish and they were so excited to share this place they love so much with the people that mean the most to them.
Whitefish is a beautiful resort town in the Rocky Mountains of northwest Montana. It’s a gateway to the peaks, lakes and glacier-carved valleys of Glacier National Park so you can imagine just how beautiful it is! There were numerous times when the scenery took my breath away! What an amazing place for a wedding!
Jana has impeccable taste, from her wedding dress to the typography in her invitations, every detail was uniquely perfect with little bohemian touches. She wore a Hayley Paige dress with a beautiful jeweled headpiece and finished the look with some awesome tecovas boots (perfect for climbing around on a mountaintop). Her ladies wore floor length dresses from Show Me Your MuMu in a soft tan and held simple bouquets of greenery (I loved this!).
The guys spent the morning hanging out and getting ready at Bentley’s parent’s house in Wolftail Pines. Safe to say it looked like they had a great time! I loved the guys laidback style from Bonobos. They looked so relaxed and comfortable and it completely matched Jana and Bentley’s laid back style!
Bentley’s parents built this incredible fire lookout when he was in high school. It’s the same place that Bentley proposed to Jana and it was only fitting to do their first look here as well! We were so fortunate to do the photos on top of this glorious mountain!
The ceremony and reception were held at The Lodge on Whitefish Lake. As I mentioned before, Jana and Bentley have crazy good style and it didn’t stop with their personal wardrobe- it can be seen throughout the entire décor! From the circle arbor to the black candles. Their vision was executed perfectly!
I can’t say enough positive things about Jana and Bentley. The entire day they were exuding joy and enjoying every moment! There was one little thing I noticed about them that I thought was particularly sweet; I caught so many moments of them sneaking kisses or their hands intertwined. It sounds crazy but I swear there were times when it looked like they were in their own world, oblivious to the surroundings, just wrapped up in each other.
They created such an unforgettable atmosphere for their wedding, you could feel it. On my part, I can attest to this because I worked for 12 hours and I can promise you that not once did I feel tired, I was just as wrapped up in the fun as everyone else! (I was also there with my husband and I know Jana and her family…but still…) But my second shooter who met these two just earlier that day stayed ALL NIGHT because she was having so much fun she didn’t want to leave. Guys, that’s crazy!
Jana and Bentley, you two have something incredibly special and it was a true honor to photograph your love and your day!
I love this picture!! Look at that excitement!
They had an 80’s cover band…the dance floor was never empty.
