I have to hand it to my husband Alex for bringing these wonderful people into our lives. Alex and Cameron worked together in San Diego and they (and occasionally me) spent many weekends drinking coffee, boring me to death with talks about investments and eventually, a wonderful evening out to meet Cameron’s new girl, Tori.
I remember walking away from that dinner thinking, “this better work out, because she is AWESOME.” I couldn’t dream up a more perfect girl for Cameron. Even then, they hadn’t been dating that long and you could just tell that their search was over.
Cameron & Tori are two of the most adventurous people I know. I think it’s safe to say that if they’re not at home, they’re probably on top of a mountain. It was only fitting for them to start their greatest adventure yet somewhere like the breathtaking Lake Tahoe.
Their reception and ceremony was nestled in the pine trees at Granlibbaken Lodge in Tahoe City; a peaceful and rustic venue that compliments Tahoe’s natural beauty. Guests dined under the setting sun and twinkle lights and the band played while everyone danced the night away!
Not only was their wedding absolutely beautiful, it was charged with emotion as well. There were so many sweet and tender moments between Cameron and Tori and their family/friends. There wasn’t a stressful moment throughout the day… just one sweet moment after another.
Even the videographers kept saying to us “this just isn’t normal, this couple is so special.” YUP! They are.
Cameron & Tori, I am beyond thankful to call you both friends AND to have played such a special role in your day! (They asked me if I’d rather attend their wedding as a guest or photograph it) I chose to photograph your day because I knew it would mean seeing the in-between moments that guests don’t see. I got to spend the morning with Tori and her friends and see her beaming smile all day long! I got to see Cameron’s face when he saw Tori in her wedding dress for the first time. It’s such a unique role to play and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world!
The sweetest first look with Dad!
Tori’s Dad walked her to her first look with Cam, which I thought was so incredibly sweet. I love the anticipation on Tori’s face.
